5th Annual Free Night of Theater and Music and Dance! As the Free Night program rolls out over an ever expanding national stage, we are thrilled to offer this unique opportunity to provide access to thousands of new audience members to experience the joy of the performing arts for the first time! The 2009 Free Night program will be launched in October 2009 in over 50 cities across the country. San Diego will participate for the third time. Performing arts organizations around San Diego County will offer hundreds of free tickets to their performances from October 12 – November 08, 2009. And San Diego's program will expand its offerings to other performing arts such as music and dance. Free Night has been very successful in San Diego and we have surpassed national averages for those have gone back and purchased tickets. This is a great opportunity for you to grow your audiences. Survey statistics for those San Diego Arts Organizations that participated in FNOT 2008:
95% of audiences rated the program as Excellent/Very Good (the national average was 93%)
86% rated Making a Reservation as Excellent/Very Good
90% rated the Ease of Picking Up the Tickets as Excellent/Very Good
100% reported that they were Very Likely to Attend Free Night again
75% reported that they attended a production by an organization they had never patronized before (national average was 69%)
39% reported that they have since purchased a ticket from the company! (national average - 34%)
