San Diego Performing
Arts League appoints Interim Executive Director
San Diego – December 19, 2003 – Andrew Brooks, San Diego Performing Arts League
President, announces the appointment of Kathryn Martin as Interim Executive
Director. A national search, led by past president Pat JaCoby,
is underway to secure a new executive director who will build upon the League’s
20 years. The post was recently held by Alan Ziter, who stepped down December
8, to lead the Naval Training Center Arts District as President and CEO of the
NTC Foundation. In the interim, the
League’s diverse and dynamic programs and services will continue.
“This has been a symbolic period of
transition for the League as we celebrated our 20th Anniversary
and acknowledged the departure of our only executive director after 18 years,”
said Andrew Brooks, newly appointed President of the San Diego Performing
Arts League. “By appointing an interim executive director, the board is assuring
that the League’s programs continue to serve the community uninterrupted,
now, and in the future.”
