Job Description: Volunteer Volunteer Coordinator

Position Summary:  The Volunteer Volunteer Coordinator assists the Birch North Park Theatre in the coordination, scheduling and general support of the volunteer faculty at the Birch North Park Theatre.

This position is appropriate for anyone interested in pursuing their education and/or a career in volunteer management, nonprofit organizational development and management, human resource management, public administration, or community development.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• •          Assist with schedule coordination of volunteers
• •         Help ensure that all volunteer trainer needs are met.  May include assistance in set up/breakdown of workshops, copies, thank you letters
• •         Assist in planning in-service training/orientation/recognition for volunteer trainers
• •         General program/office assistance as needed

Qualifications:

• •          Friendly, open and positive attitude
• •         Comfortable working in large groups of people
• •         Excellent interpersonal communication (listening and verbal) skills
• •         Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment with staff and volunteers
• •         Flexibility and adaptability
• •         Well-organized and detail oriented with a problem-solving approach
• •         Basic computer skills; MS Office skills (Word, Excel) preferred
• •         Basic office equipment skills, including fax and photo copier
• •         Comfortable working with people of diverse ethnic, racial, socioeconomic, gender identification, sexual orientation, religious backgrounds and physical and mental states and abilities

Requirements:

• •     18 years or older
• •    Morning availability
• •    Minimum of four (4) month commitment
• •    Vehicle required for orientation setup/breakdown
